 My Picture Teddy Bear was founded by Angelina Moscato and Priscilla Marotta who were inspired by two things: they had a mutual love for cute teddy bears and wanted to start a business to celebrate 30 years of friendship. They also wanted to create a site to help people preserve their memories and cherish the special people in their lives.
Angelina, the creative one, loves hands on crafts and has worked for over ten years coordinating an after school enrichment program in the Massachusetts public school system. She enjoys nurturing and celebrating the joys of family. Priscilla is a clinical psychologist with an ongoing group practice in South Florida, The Center of Psychological Effectiveness (www.solutionsnottalk.com). She recognizes the importance of human touch and enjoys creating special rituals to ensure family memories.
When then found out that there was no one providing an affordable, collectible, high quality bear that also happened to be very cute, they knew they found their calling. Plus, no one could use their very own treasured photo as part of the bears outfit! As they started their journey to spread the "Hug a Memory" movement, they saw just how many ugly teddy bears there were in the world. They had to produce a soft, huggable and cute bear that would bring a smile to anyone's face. After many prototypes, they discovered the exceptional talent of designer Annie W. who created the world's most perfect little teddy bears Tennyson, at 19" and Tully the 14" bear.

They selected the letter "T" to begin their bear collection to reflect 30 years of being "sisters of the heart". Being of Italian heritage, Angelina and Priscilla are big fans of a real bear hug no tiny bear hugs for them! Plus, they love great photos and the magic that personalized photography can bring to any collectible.
